Last Updated:Aug 29, 2023

This topic describes how to purchase a resource plan, the factors to consider before you purchase a resource plan, and examples on how resource plans are used.

Factors to consider

Before you purchase a resource plan, we recommend that you consider the required services and business volume. For resource plans that are available only for specific regions, you must also consider the region.

Example

A user purchased the following resource plans in March 2022: a Standard (LRS) storage plan for all regions that has a capacity of 500 GB, and an outbound traffic plan for the Chinese mainland that has a capacity of 100 GB. The resource usage of the user in March 2022 includes the following items:

  • 300 GB of Standard locally redundant storage (LRS) objects, 110 GB of outbound traffic over the Internet, and 100,000 API requests in the China (Hangzhou) region.

  • 100 GB of Standard LRS objects and 200 GB of Standard zone-redundant storage (ZRS) objects in the China (Shanghai) region.

The following table describes how the resource plans offset the monthly resource usage.
