Notification policies are a key configuration for managing alert notifications in SchedulerX 2.0. These policies allow you to flexibly configure notification methods and schedules for different scenarios to precisely manage alerts. This topic describes how to create, modify, and delete notification policies, and how to configure them for applications.
Create a notification policy
Log on to the MSE SchedulerX console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Notification Management.
Choose the Notification Policies tab and click Create Notification Policy.
On the Create Notification Policy page, set the following parameters:
Policy Name: Required. The name must be unique and 5 to 50 characters in length.
Description: Optional. The description can be up to 100 characters in length.
Notification Channel: Select one or more channels. Supported channels include text message, email, phone, and webhook.
@all Members In Group: This option is available when the notification channel is set to webhook.
Effective Period Settings:
Set For All Channels: Set a uniform effective period for all notification channels.
Set For Each Channel: Set a different effective period for each notification channel.
NoteYou can select any time range from Monday to Sunday. Use the HH:mm format for the time.
Time Zone: The time zone for the effective period of the notification policy.
Click OK.
Modify a notification policy
Log on to the MSE SchedulerX console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Notification Management.
In the notification policy list, find the target policy, and click Edit in the Actions column.
In the Edit Notification Policy panel, change the settings and click OK.
Delete a notification policy
Log on to the MSE SchedulerX console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Notification Management.
In the notification policy list, find the target policy, and click Delete in the Actions column.
NoteIf the policy is in use, a confirmation dialog box appears. The dialog box lists the namespaces and applications that use the policy. After the policy is deleted, applications attached to it will no longer send notifications.
Click Delete.
Configure a notification policy for an application
When you create or edit an application, turn on the Select Notification Policy switch in the Notification Configuration section.
Select a policy from the notification policy drop-down list.
NoteEach application can be attached to only one notification policy.
After you complete the configuration, notifications are sent according to the notification method and effective period specified in the policy when an alert is triggered.
