:Enable the notification feature

Last Updated:Jan 25, 2025

This topic describes how to enable the notification feature in the ApsaraVideo Media Processing (MPS) console.

Procedure

  1. Enable the notification feature in the MPS console.

MPS allows you to use Simple Message Queue (SMQ) to send notifications when a transcoding job or a template analysis job is complete. To use the notification feature, you must activate SMQ.

  2. Create an SMQ topic.

Log on to the SMQ console. In the top navigation bar, select the same region as your MPS service. In the left-side navigation pane, click Topics. On the Topics page, click Create Topic in the upper-left corner to create a topic. After the topic is created, find the topic in the topic list and create a subscription for the topic. In the Create Subscription panel, specify an HTTP URL that is used to receive notifications.

    For more information, see HTTP.

  3. Bind the created SMQ topic to an MPS queue for transcoding.

Log on to the MPS console. In the left navigation pane, choose Global Settings > MPS Queue and Callback. On the MPS Queue and Callback page, find the MPS queue that you want to manage and bind the created SMQ topic to the MPS queue.

Configure the notification feature Simple Message Queue (formerly MNS)
