This topic describes the impacts of overdue payments for Message Queue for Apache Kafka instances. We recommend that you renew an instance that is about to expire in advance to prevent service interruption.
Impacts of overdue payments
- If the Message Queue for Apache Kafka instance that you purchased expires, the Message Queue for Apache Kafka instance is immediately stopped and you cannot use the instance until you renew it.
- If you do not renew the Message Queue for Apache Kafka instance within 168 hours after it is stopped, the instance is released and cannot be recovered. This means that you can no longer use the Message Queue for Apache Kafka instance.
We recommend that you renew your instance before it expires to ensure service availability. For more information, see Instance renewal.
