Live stream recording fees include the monthly recording service fees and container format conversion fees. You are charged based on the peak number of daily concurrent recordings in a month and the total length of container format conversion. This topic describes the billing rules of live stream recording.
The recording feature of ApsaraVideo Live is available for commercial use and begins to charge fees from October 1, 2022. If you do not require the feature, delete templates that you added. For more information, see Recording management. If live streaming is in progress when you delete a template, ApsaraVideo Live continues to record based on the template. The deletion takes effect for subsequent ingested streams.

Billing policy
You are charged based on the peak number of daily concurrent recordings on a monthly basis. The price is the same for all live centers around the world.
NoteIf a stream is recorded in the MP4 and FLV formats, only one recording is counted.
Billing cycle
You are charged on a monthly basis. After a calendar month ends, the bills are generated after 00:00 on the first day of the following month. The time when bills are generated is determined by the system. Fees are automatically deducted from your Alibaba Cloud account after bills are generated.

You are charged based on the pay-as-you-go billing method.

Store recordings in Object Storage Service (OSS):
If the recordings are in the TS format, you are charged no container format conversion fees by default.
If the recordings are in the FLV format, you are charged based on the length of the recordings in minutes.
If the recordings are in the MP4 format, you are charged based on the length of the recordings in minutes.
Store recordings in ApsaraVideo VOD:
If transcoding is not required, the recordings are in the TS format by default. In this case, you are charged no container format conversion fees.
If the recordings are in the FLV format, you are charged based on the length of the recordings in minutes.
If the recordings are in the MP4 format, you are charged based on the length of the recordings in minutes.
NoteIf a stream is recorded in the FLV and MP4 formats and stored in OSS or ApsaraVideo VOD, you are charged based on the total length of the recording in the FLV format and the recording in the MP4 format.
Billing cycle
You are charged on a daily basis. The bills of a day are generated within 1 hour after 00:00 on the following day. The time when bills are generated is determined by the system. Fees are automatically deducted from your Alibaba Cloud account after bills are generated.
