Lindorm provides the cold storage feature. You can store cold data in databases to cold storage medium to reduce storage costs. This topic describes how to enable cold storage.

Scenarios

Cold storage is suitable for various scenarios, such as scenarios in which cold data is archived and historical data is infrequently accessed.

Precautions

  • Only Lindorm instances whose engine version is 2.1.8 or later support the cold storage feature. If the engine version is earlier than version 2.1.8, the engine version is automatically upgraded to the latest version when cold storage is being enabled.
  • When cold storage is being enabled, a jitter may occur when services are accessed. We recommend that you enable cold storage during off-peak hours.
