You can change the specifications of each engine of a Lindorm instance. If the engine specification of a Lindorm instance does not match your business requirements, you can change the engine specification of the Lindorm instance.

Prerequisites

A Lindorm instance is created and is in the Running state. For more information, see Create an instance.

Usage notes

  • When you change the specification of a Lindorm instance, other changes cannot be performed on the instance. We recommend that you change the specification of your Lindorm instance during off-peak hours.
  • When you downgrade the engine specification of a Lindorm instance, make sure that the new specification can meet your business requirements.
  • When you evaluate whether the engine specification of an instance matches the current business requirements, consider the number of read and write requests and other various factors. If you require technical support when you evaluate the engine specification of the instance, submit a ticket.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Lindorm console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region in which the instance is located.
  3. On the Instances page, click the ID of the instance that you want to manage or click Manage in the Actions column corresponding to the instance.
  4. Find the engine for which you want to change the node specification in the Configurations section of the page.
  5. Click Upgrade Specifications or Downgrade.
Note The Upgrade Specifications and Downgrade specifications options are available for LindormTable, LindormTSDB, and LindormSearch. For other Lindorm engines, you can change only parts of the configurations. The information that is displayed in the console takes precedence.
  6. On the Downgrade or Upgrade/Downgrade page, select a node specification for the engine.
Note For more information about how to select a node specification for an engine, see Select a node specification and the number of nodes.
  7. Agree to the terms of service, and then click Buy Now.
When the specification is being changed, the instance is in the Changing Specifications state. If the state of the instance changes to Running, the specification is changed.
Important The time required to change the node specification is related to the number of nodes whose specification needs to be changed. In most cases, 2 to 10 minutes are required to change the specification of a single node. The required time increases if you want to change the specification of more nodes.
