When you use an IPv6 gateway, you are charged a public bandwidth fee. The public bandwidth fee is billed on the pay-by-data-transfer or pay-by-bandwidth basis.
Public bandwidth fees
Alibaba Cloud charges a public bandwidth fee for each IPv6 gateway. The public bandwidth fee is billed on the pay-by-data-transfer or pay-by-bandwidth basis. Before you select a metering method, you must understand the peak bandwidth and average bandwidth usage of your service.
-
The pay-by-data-transfer metering method is suitable for services with an average bandwidth usage lower than 20%.
-
The pay-by-bandwidth metering method is suitable for services with an average bandwidth usage higher than 35%.
-
If the average bandwidth usage of your service is at a medium level, we recommend that you select a metering method based on previous service data.
Public bandwidth fees (pay-by-bandwidth)
Public bandwidth fee for a pay-by-bandwidth IPv6 gateway = Unit price of bandwidth (USD/day) × Usage duration (days)
-
Fees are charged and bills are generated on a daily basis. If the IPv6 gateway uses the bandwidth for less than one day, the usage duration is rounded up to one day.
-
You can change the peak bandwidth of the IPv6 gateway anytime to meet your business requirements. After you change the peak bandwidth of an IPv6 gateway, Alibaba Cloud charges the public bandwidth fee based on the highest bandwidth limit value within the billing cycle (one day).
-
You are charged public bandwidth fees based on a tiered pricing model with 5 Mbit/s as the standard bandwidth value.Note If the prices in the following table are different from the prices in the console, the prices in the console shall prevail.
Region 1 to 5 Mbit/s (USD/day) Higher than 5 Mbit/s (USD/day) China (Qingdao), China (Beijing), China (Zhangjiakou), China (Hohhot), China (Ulanqab), China (Hangzhou), China (Shanghai), China (Fuzhou-Local Region), China (Shenzhen), China (Heyuan), China (Guangzhou), China (Chengdu), China (Hong Kong), Philippines (Manila), Singapore, US (Virginia), and Germany (Frankfurt) - 1 Mbit/s: 0.14
- 2 Mbit/s: 0.28
- 3 Mbit/s: 0.43
- 4 Mbit/s: 0.57
- 5 Mbit/s: 0.71
Note N represents the peak bandwidth.0.71+(N-5)*0.5
Note N represents the peak bandwidth.
Public bandwidth fees (pay-by-data-transfer)
Public bandwidth fee for a pay-by-data-transfer IPv6 gateway = Hourly unit price of data transfer (USD/GB) × Data transfer (GB)
-
Fees are calculated and bills are generated on an hourly basis. If the usage duration is less than 1 hour within a billing cycle, the usage duration is rounded up to 1 hour.
-
You are charged for only outbound data transfer. Outbound data transfer refers to the amount of data that flows from Alibaba Cloud to data centers. Inbound data transfer refers to the amount of data that flows from data centers to Alibaba Cloud.
-
The unit price for outbound data transfer is fixed and does not vary with the peak bandwidth of the IPv6 gateway. However, we recommend that you set the peak bandwidth properly to avoid unexpected data usage caused by system errors or malicious requests.
-
The following table describes the unit prices of data transfer in different regions.Note If the prices in the following table are different from the prices in the console, the prices in the console shall prevail.
