You can use the diagnostic metric feature to display the data of the diagnostic metrics of the current instance, including Network Connection Success Rate, Message Arrival Rate, and Time Consumed for Device-to-cloud Connection. This helps you view and analyze the status of devices.
Prerequisites
A device is connected to IoT Platform. For more information, see Create a product.
A device diagnostics feature is enabled. For more information, see Enable or disable device diagnostics features.
Diagnostic metrics
You can select a time range for the Network Connection Success Rate, Message Arrival Rate, Time Consumed for Device-to-cloud Connection, or Success Rate for Forwarding metric. This way, the system can collect statistics and use charts to display the results by minute or hour. You can also specify a custom time range that is less than or equal to seven days.
If you select a time range that is greater than or equal to one day, metric data is automatically displayed by hour.
If you select a time range that is less than one day, metric data is automatically displayed by minute.
Network Connection Success Rate
Collects the average success rate of device connections to IoT Platform over protocols, such as TCP and TLS. A Link SDK of version 4.1.0 or later is required.
Message Arrival Rate
Collects the arrival rate of downstream messages that are sent from IoT Platform to devices over Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT).
Time Consumed for Device-to-cloud Connection
Collects the average period of time that is consumed for device connections to IoT Platform over protocols, such as TCP and TLS. A Link SDK of version 4.1.0 or later is required.
Success Rate for Forwarding
Collects the success rate for forwarding subscribed messages from IoT Platform to your business server. If the success rate is lower than 100%, you must re-configure a server-side subscription. For more information, Server-side subscriptions.
Cause
Collects the number of each type of device offline events by cause.
Cloud Connections
Collects the number of times device messages are forwarded to other Alibaba Cloud services for storage or processing.
