Intelligent Media Services (IMS) allows you to manage media asset categories. When you upload a media asset, you can set the category of the media asset. This topic describes how to manage media asset categories.
Manage categories by using the IMS console
Log on to the IMS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose to go to the Category Management page.
In the upper-left corner, select a region based on your business requirements.
If you have not created a category, click Create Category and enter a category name.
If you have created categories, you can manage the categories.
NoteYou can click
to modify the category name, add a same-level category, add a subcategory, and delete a category. The category name can be up to 64 characters in length. A maximum of three levels of categories can be added in each category tree and a maximum of 100 categories can be added in each level.
When you delete a category that contains subcategories, you must delete all subcategories before you can delete the category. If media assets exist in the category, the media assets are classified as Unclassified.
Supported keyboard shortcuts: Enter: adds a same-level category. Alt + Enter: adds a subcategory. Delete: deletes a category.
