HTTPDNS:Manage custom DNS policies

This topic describes how to manage your custom DNS policies.

You can manage custom DNS records in the HTTPDNS console. To view the policy list, select a record and click Manage in the Actions column.

Add a policy

You can add a policy in the following ways:

  • On the Custom DNS page, click Add Custom DNS in the upper-left corner to add a record.

  • On the policy management page, click Add Rule Policy in the upper-right corner of the rule policy list to add a rule policy for the current domain name.

  • On the policy management page, click Add Function Compute Policy in the upper-right corner of the Function Compute policy list to add a Function Compute policy for the current domain name.

Enable a policy

A policy is disabled by default after you add it. To enable the policy, turn on its switch in the Status column of the policy list.

Important

Enabling a policy is an important operation. A confirmation dialog box appears. You may also need to complete a risk control check by entering a CAPTCHA.

Disable a policy

To disable a policy, turn off its switch in the Status column of the policy list.

Delete a policy

To delete a policy, click Delete in the Actions column of the policy list and then confirm the operation.

Important

You cannot delete an enabled policy.

Copy a policy

To quickly create a rule policy for a domain name based on an existing one, click Copy in the Actions column of the rule policy list. A form is pre-filled with the information from the existing policy. You can modify the information and save the form to create a new record.

Note

The Copy operation is not supported for Function Compute policies.

Edit a policy

To modify an existing policy, click Edit in the Actions column of the policy list.

  • When you edit a rule policy, you cannot change the domain name or line. You can modify all other information.

  • When you edit a Function Compute policy, you cannot change the domain name. You can modify all other information.

Important

If you edit an enabled policy, a confirmation dialog box appears when you click Save. The changes take effect after you click OK.
