Renewal management
This topic describes how to renew a subscription instance in Renew Subscription.
Background information
When a subscription instance expires, its service stops. You must renew the instance to resume service. If you do not renew an expired instance within the grace period or the renewal fails, the system releases its associated resources, and they cannot be recovered.
Manual renewal
For more information about manual renewal rules, see Renew an expired resource. The steps for manual renewal are as follows.

Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console.

In the navigation pane on the left of the Expenses and Costs page, click Renew Subscription.

On the Renew Subscription page, click the Manual tab. In the Actions column of the instance, click Renew.

On the Renew page, select a renewal duration, select the Terms of Service checkbox, and then click Buy Now.
Auto-renewal
If you plan to use a Hologres instance for an extended period, enable auto-renewal to prevent service interruptions or data loss from a missed renewal. With this feature enabled, the system automatically renews the instance before it expires.

Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console.

In the navigation pane on the left of the Expenses and Costs page, click Renew Subscription.

On the Renew Subscription page, click the Manual tab. In the Actions column of the instance, click Auto Renew.

In the Auto Renew dialog box, select an Auto Renewal Cycle and click Auto Renew.
A message indicates that auto-renewal takes effect the next day. The system automatically deducts the renewal fee from your available account balance nine days before the expiration date. -
(Optional) On the Renew Subscription page, click the Auto-renewal tab to view the auto-renewing instance and perform operations such as Renew, Edit Auto Renewal, Nonrenewal, and Enable Manual Renewal.
