Starting from January 1, 2023, Function Compute no longer provides free monthly quota, which was 1 million function invocations and 400,000 GB-seconds of resource usage per month. Instead, a free trial quota is given to new users.

Note This article defines new and existing users.
  • New users: users that activate Function Compute in the Function Compute console after 11:25 on November 2, 2022.
  • Existing users: users that activated Function Compute before 11:25 on November 02, 2022.
The following transition plan is provided from November 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022:
  • New users

    The following free quota is provided for an account that activates Function Compute for the first time: 1 million function invocations, 500,000 vCPU-seconds of active vCPU usage, and 1 million GB-seconds of memory usage. For more information, see Overview.

  • Existing users

    The original free monthly quota, which was 1 million function invocations and 400,000 GB-seconds of resource usage per month, is changed to the following plan: 1 million function invocations and 266,700 vCPU-seconds of active vCPU usage, and 400,000 GB-seconds of memory usage per month. From 0: 00 on November 1, 2022 to 24: 00 on December 31, 2022, existing users can enjoy a total free quota of 2 million function invocations, 533,400 vCPU-seconds of active vCPU usage, and 800,000 GB-seconds of memory usage.

    In addition, existing users can enjoy a free trial plan, which contains 1 million function invocations, 500,000 vCPU-seconds of active vCPU usage, and 1 million GB-seconds of memory usage.

    Note
    • The free trial plan is valid for one year and each user can purchase the plan only once. The message indicating that the plan you want to purchase exceeds the available quantity appears if you purchase the plan more than once.
    • The free trial plan is preferentially used to offset the fees for resource usage. We recommend that you purchase the free trial plan after the free quota is used up or on January 1, 2023.
