Express Connect:Apply for an Express Connect circuit

Last Updated:Mar 24, 2025

To create a dedicated connection over an Express Connect circuit, you must apply for an Express Connect circuit in the console, contact your Internet service provider (ISP) to install the Express Connect circuit, and then pay relevant fees. Then, you can use the dedicated connection over the Express Connect circuit in a secure and efficient manner. You can apply for Express Connect circuits in high-reliability mode, classic mode, or recommended mode.

Mode

Description

High-reliability mode

In high-reliability mode, Express Connect circuits support failover if an active connection is down. If you have requirements for disaster recovery, we recommend that you select the high-availability mode and select the combination types of Express Connect circuits based on your business requirements. For more information about service level agreement (SLA), see Express Connect Service Level Agreement. Combination types:

  • Optimal disaster recovery: You can apply for resources in two access points and create four dedicated connections over Express Connect circuits. The SLA is not less than 99.99%.

  • Powerful disaster recovery: You can apply for two access points and create two dedicated connections over Express Connect circuits. The SLA is not less than 99.95%.

  • Development and testing: You can use the devices in one access point to create two dedicated connections over Express Connect circuits.

  • Load balancing for large bandwidth: You can apply for multiple Express Connect circuits on one access device in the access point. Then, load balancing can be implemented to increase the forwarding bandwidth. To use load balancing for large bandwidth, contact your account manager.

Classic mode

You can select an access point from the drop-down list based on your requirements.

Recommended mode

The system will recommend the optimal access point based on the latency to the zone.
