EventBridge:Create dashboards

EventBridge is integrated with Hybrid Cloud Monitoring to provide the dashboard feature. You can create a namespace for an event bus in CloudMonitor and then create a dashboard to monitor the metrics of the event bus. This topic describes how to create a dashboard.

Prerequisites

Entry point

  1. Log on to the EventBridge console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Event Buses.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select a region. On the Event Buses page, click the name of the event bus that you want to manage.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane of the page that appears, click Metric Monitoring.

  4. In the upper-right corner of the Metric Monitoring page, click the 6QqnsJIbtT icon and then click View Dashboard.

  5. On the Dashboards page in the CloudMonitor console, perform the related operations.

Add metrics to the namespace

  1. In the left-side navigation pane of the CloudMonitor console, click Namespace.

  2. On the Namespace page, click the name of the namespace that you created in the "Prerequisites" section. On the Namespace Details page, click Add metric.

  3. In the Metric management panel, configure the parameters and click Close.

    Note

    In this example, EventBridge is integrated into CloudMonitor. If you want to integrate other products into CloudMonitor, see Manage metric import tasks.

    1. On the Alibaba Cloud Service Metrics tab, click Add Account.

    2. In the Add Account dialog box, select Current Account and click OK.

      Note

      After you add an account, Elastic Compute Service (ECS) is automatically added as the monitored service. You can move the pointer over ECS, click the FMS3SWp43a icon to delete ECS, and then add EventBridge as the monitored service.

    3. Click the image icon next to Current Account. In the Add Product dialog box, select EventBridge from the drop-down list. Then, click OK.

    4. Click Add metric. In the Add metric dialog box, select the metrics whose metric category is EventBus and modify their precision. Then, click OK.

Create a dashboard

CloudMonitor allows you to create system preset dashboards, high precision dashboards, business dashboards, and custom dashboards. In this example, a custom dashboard is created. For information about how to create other types of dashboards, see Create a dashboard.

  1. On the Dashboards page in the CloudMonitor console, click View Dashboard.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane of the page that appears, move the pointer over the zcHf9mLjgh icon and click Folder.

  3. On the Dashboards page, specify a name for the dashboard folder and click Create.

  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click the image.png icon. Then, click Add an empty panel.

  5. On the page that appears, configure monitoring metrics and charts.

    Note

    In this example, a filter event success(count) chart is created. In the production environment, create charts based on your business requirements.

    1. On the Query tab, select the namespace and metrics.

    2. On the Panel tab, specify a panel title and enter a description. Then, configure visualization and other settings.

    3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Apply.

      Note

      If you want to add more charts on the New dashboard page, click the CqMf4MCfzS icon in the upper-right corner.

  6. On the New dashboard page, click the image icon.

  7. In the dialog box that appears, specify a custom name for the dashboard, select the dashboard folder, and then click Save.

Other operations

Subscribe to a dashboard

  1. On the Dashboards page in the CloudMonitor console, find the dashboard that you want to manage and turn on Subscription in the Actions column.

  2. In the Subscription dialog box, configure the Email ID and Execution Time parameters.

    Note

    Gmail cannot display pictures normally. Use other email addresses.

  3. Click Subscription Test.

    If you are prompted that the screenshot has been sent to your email address, the subscription test is successful and the email address you specified receives an email.

  4. Click OK.

View a dashboard

On the Dashboards page in the CloudMonitor console, find the dashboard that you want to manage and click View in the Actions column.

Delete a dashboard

On the Dashboards page in the CloudMonitor console, find the dashboard that you want to manage and click Delete in the Actions column. In the Confirm deletion message, click OK.
