If you find that a purchased Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance is not displayed
in the instance list when you are creating an application, perform the following steps:
First, ensure that Enterprise Distributed Application Service (EDAS) Agent is installed
on the ECS instance. Second, ensure that the ECS instance has been added to the cluster
where you want to create the application.
Procedure
- Log on to the EDAS console.
- In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resources > ECS.
- On the ECS page, find the target ECS instance and check the value in the Agent Status column.
- If EDAS Agent has been installed on the ECS instance, Agent Status is Online or Docker Online.
- If no EDAS Agent has been installed or EDAS Agent failed to be installed on the ECS
instance, Agent Status is Unknown or Exception.
- After ensuring that EDAS Agent is installed on the ECS instance, in the left-side
navigation pane, choose . Click the name of the cluster where you want to create the application. On the Cluster
Details page, check whether the ECS instance where the application is located exists
in the cluster.
- If the ECS instance already exists in the cluster, submit a ticket or contact EDAS
Customer Services.
- If the ECS instance does not exist in the cluster, add the ECS instance to the cluster.
For specific steps, see Create an ECS cluster in the EDAS console.
Verify the result
After the preceding steps are complete, start an application creation process. When
selecting a cluster, check whether the ECS instance where you want to deploy the application
is already in the instance list. If the ECS instance is in the instance list, the
ECS instance has been imported to the cluster.
