This topic describes the Layer 2 connectivity service of Edge Network Acceleration (ENA).
The Layer 2 connectivity service provides a customer with end-to-end fast connectivity between a customer data center (DC) or a customer corporate intranet and Alibaba Cloud, between customer DCs, between a customer DC and a customer intranet, and between customer intranets.
Scenario 1: connectivity between a customer DC or a customer corporate intranet and Alibaba Cloud
The Layer 2 connectivity service helps customers connect to the access points of Alibaba Cloud Express Connect in a secure, fast, and convenient manner. Regardless of whether the enterprise DCs or corporate intranets of a customer and Alibaba Cloud Express Connect are deployed in the same city, the Cloud Connection Acceleration service can connect the enterprise DCs or corporate intranets of the customer to the ENA Points of Presence (POPs) distributed globally by using local or long-distance access lines, and connect to Express Connect by using the virtual connections provided by ENA. This helps meet the cloud migration requirements of the customer.

Scenario 2: connectivity between the enterprise DCs or corporate intranets of a customer
The Layer 2 connectivity service helps a customer establish connections between enterprise DCs or corporate intranets in a secure, fast, and convenient manner. The Point-to-Point Connection service can connect the enterprise DCs or corporate intranets of a customer to the ENA POPs distributed globally by using local or long-distance access lines. This service can enable the enterprise DCs or corporate intranets of the customer to form intranet connections by using the virtual connections provided by ENA. This helps meet the internal and external communication requirements of customer nodes.
