Edge Private Network (EPN) bandwidth fee refers to the cost incurred when using access bandwidth at various Point of Presence (POPs) with an EPN instance.
Billing rules
Definition
EPN access bandwidth fee is charged based on fixed bandwidth, pay-as-you-go. It is measured daily and billed monthly. The following table describes the rules.
Billing item | Definition |
Access bandwidth | The bandwidth of each access point in EPN. For Port Config access points, it is the rate-limited bandwidth of EVBR. For ENS access points, it is the rate-limited bandwidth of ENSGW. |
Access bandwidth pricing
The geographic location of access ports in an EPN instance affects the billing tier:
Same data center access: All access ports (including Port Config and ENS access) in the EPN are within the same data center.
Same city access: At least 2 access points (including Port Config and ENS access) in the EPN are not in the same data center.
Cross-city access: At least 2 access points (including Port Config and ENS access) in the EPN are not in the same city in Chinese mainland.
Metropolitan interconnection outside the Chinese mainland: At least 2 access points (including Port Config and ENS access) in the EPN are not in the same city outside Chinese mainland. The specific tier depends on the cities.
Access method | Area | USD/Mbps/day | Equivalent monthly rate (30 days): USD/Mbps/month |
Same data center access | - | Free of charge | Free of charge |
Same city access | - | 0.06 | 1.80 |
Chinese mainland interconnection | Chinese mainland | 0.10 | 3.00 |
Non-mainland China metropolitan interconnection | Asia Pacific 1 (China (Hong Kong), Macao (China), Singapore, Japan, South Korea) | 0.14 | 4.20 |
Asia Pacific 2 (Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines) | 0.57 | 17.10
Middle East 1 (Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, UAE) | 0.71 | 21.30

Billing examples
Same node dedicated line access to ENS
In the figure, the user accesses the EPN through an edge access port and line, with EVBR bandwidth of 100 Mbps. At the same time, an ENSGW is created in the ENS node in the same data center, with ENSGW bandwidth of 100 Mbps. The billing details are as follows:
Area | Measurement (Mbps) | Billing (USD/day) |
Within node | 100 + 100 = 200Mbps | 0 USD |
Cross-city multi-point access in the Chinese mainland
As the figure shows, in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shijiazhuang, the user:
In Beijing, access the EPN through the edge shared port, with EVBR bandwidth of 200 Mbps;
In Shanghai, access the EPN through the edge access port and line, with EVBR bandwidth of 100 Mbps;
In Shijiazhuang, add the ENS VPC to the EPN, with ENSGW bandwidth of 100 Mbps.
The billing details are as follows:
Area | Measurement | Billing | Monthly bill (based on 30 days) |
Chinese mainland | 200 + 100 + 100 = 400Mbps | 400Mbps × 0.1 USD/Mbps = 40 USD/day | 40 USD/day × 30 days = 1,200 USD |
Long-distance multi-point networking outside the Chinese mainland
As the figure shows, the user adds ENS VPCs to the EPN through ENSGW in China (Hong Kong), Singapore, Indonesia, and Brazil:
China (Hong Kong) ENSGW bandwidth is 100 Mbps;
Singapore ENSGW bandwidth is 100 Mbps;
Indonesia ENSGW bandwidth is 50 Mbps;
Brazil ENSGW bandwidth is 10 Mbps.
The billing details are as follows:
Area | Measurement | Billing | Monthly bill (based on 30 days) |
Asia Pacific 1 | 100 + 100 = 200Mbps | 200Mbps × 0.17 USD/Mbps = 34 USD/day | 34 USD/day × 30 days = 1,020 USD |
Asia Pacific 2 | 50Mbps | 50Mbps × 0.57 USD/Mbps = 28.5 USD/day | 28.5 USD/day × 30 days = 855 USD |
South America 1 | 10Mbps | 10Mbps × 1.43 USD/Mbps = 14.3 USD/day | 14.3 USD/day × 30 days = 429 USD |
Total | 76.8 USD/day | 2,304 USD |
Long-distance multi-point networking outside the Chinese mainland (Upgrade/Downgrade)
As shown in the figure, the user adds ENS VPCs to the EPN through ENSGW in China (Hong Kong), Singapore, Indonesia, and Brazil, where:
From the 1st to 15th day of the month:
China (Hong Kong) ENSGW bandwidth is 100 Mbps;
Singapore ENSGW bandwidth is 100 Mbps;
Indonesia ENSGW bandwidth is 50 Mbps;
Brazil ENSGW bandwidth is 10 Mbps.
From the 16th to 30th day of the month:
China (Hong Kong) ENSGW bandwidth is upgraded to 200 Mbps;
Singapore ENSGW bandwidth is upgraded to 200 Mbps;
Indonesia ENSGW bandwidth remains unchanged at 50 Mbps;
Brazil ENSGW bandwidth is upgraded to 20 Mbps.
The billing details are as follows:
Area | 1st-15th day | 16th-30th day | Monthly bill (based on 30 days)
Measurement | Billing | Measurement | Billing
Asia Pacific 1 | 100 + 100 = 200Mbps | 200Mbps × 0.17 USD/Mbps = 34 USD/day | 200 + 200 = 400Mbps | 400Mbps × 0.17 USD/Mbps = 68 USD/day | 34 USD/day × 15 days + 68 USD/day × 15 days = 1,530 USD |
Asia Pacific 2 | 50Mbps | 50Mbps × 0.57 USD/Mbps = 28.5 USD/day | 50Mbps | 50Mbps × 0.57 USD/Mbps = 28.5 USD/day | 28.5 USD/day × 30 days = 855 USD |
South America 1 | 10Mbps | 10Mbps × 1.43 USD/Mbps = 14.3 USD/day | 20Mbps | 20Mbps × 1.43 USD/Mbps = 28.6 USD/day | 14.3 USD/day × 15 days + 28.6 USD/day × 15 days = 643.5 USD |
Total | 76.8 USD/day | 125.1 USD/day | 3,028.5 USD
