    Elastic IP Address:Renewal policies

    You can renew a subscription elastic IP address (EIP) within the subscription duration or before the EIP is released. This topic describes how to renew a subscription EIP.

    Note

    72 hours after an EIP expires, the EIP is suspended. 72 hours after an EIP is suspended, the system automatically releases the EIP. After the EIP is released, you cannot renew the EIP. If you want to use an EIP, purchase a new EIP.

    Renew a subscription EIP

    You can renew a subscription EIP to extend the validity period of the EIP.

    Renew an EIP in the EIP console

    1. Log on to the Elastic IP Address console .
    2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the EIP is created.

    3. On the Elastic IP Addresses page, find the EIP that you want to renew and choose 更多操作 > Renewal and Bills > Renew in the Actions column.

    4. On the Elastic IP (Subscription) - International Site | Renew page, configure the Duration parameter, select the Terms of Service, click Buy Now, and then complete the payment.

    Renew an EIP in the Billing Management console

    In the Billing Management console, you can manually renew subscription EIPs, or configure auto-renewal or non-renewal for subscription EIPs. Before you renew a subscription EIP, take note of the following rules:

    • Expired subscription EIPs support only manual renewal. Auto-renewal and non-renewal are not supported.

    • A subscription EIP that expires within one day supports manual renewal and non-renewal. Auto-renewal is not supported.

    1. Log on to the Elastic IP Address console .

    2. In the top navigation bar, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

    3. In the Instances section, select Elastic IP (Subscription) - International Site.

    4. On the Manual tab, find the EIP that you want to renew and click an action in the Actions column.

      • If you want to manually renew the EIP, click Renew. On the Renew page, specify the Duration parameter, select the Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now to complete the payment.

      • If you want to enable auto-renewal for the EIP, click Enable Auto Renewal. In the Enable Auto Renewal dialog box, specify the renewal cycle, and click Auto Renew.

        Note

        • After you enable auto-renewal, the auto-renewal feature takes effect the next day.

        • Make sure that your Alibaba Cloud account has sufficient balance for the renewal.

        • If your EIP expires on the next day, you can only manually renew the EIP. Auto-renewal is not supported.

      • If you no longer want to renew an EIP, click Nonrenewal. In the Set as Nonrenewal message, click OK.

        Note

        After you set non-renewal for an EIP, the EIP becomes unavailable after the EIP expires. You can change the setting before the EIP expires.

    Renew and change the configuration of a subscription EIP

    You can renew a subscription EIP when you change the configuration of the EIP.

    1. Log on to the Elastic IP Address console .
    2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the EIP is created.
    3. On the Elastic IP Addresses page, find the EIP that you want to manage and choose What to do next > Renewal and Bills > Renew/Update Configurations in the Actions column.
    4. On the Elastic IP (Subscription) - International Site | Renew and Change Specification page, set the Duration and Bandwidth parameters, select the terms of service, click Buy Now, and then complete the payment.
