The system toolbar on the top of a cloud desktop that is connected from the macOS client can be hidden when the cloud desktop is in full-screen mode to improve user experience.

The administrator can configure automatic client logout to prevent data leak when end users use cloud desktops. After this feature is configured, the cloud desktops are automatically logged out when no sessions are established to EDS, Cloud Drive Service, or AppStreaming after end users log on to clients.

When you connect to a cloud desktop, the wizard of an assistive ball is displayed and the desktop is in frozen-screen mode. The wizard shows you how to wake up or hide the assistive ball.

An assistive ball on a cloud desktop is remains in the same position on the screen the next time the cloud desktop.

The media redirection feature is added. After the administrator enables the media redirection feature, you can use the pre-installed VideoLAN Client (VLC) media player on a cloud desktop to view lossless videos in high-definition (HD) resolution.

After the administrator enables the screen recording audit feature for a cloud desktop, the Recording floating window appears on the cloud desktop during screen recording. You can move the pointer over the floating window to show a complete floating window or only an icon.

The screen scaling parameters of UIs on a cloud desktop adapts to those of UIs on a Windows computer.

After the administrator enables the scheduled interaction feature for a cloud desktop, the cloud desktop is stopped N minutes after you log out of the Alibaba Cloud Workspace client that carries the cloud desktop or close the client. This helps improve user experience consistency when the client and cloud desktop are used.

Networks of a cloud desktop in immersive mode can be configured to ensure that a Windows computer can be used as expected, even when the network environment is changed.

For a subscription cloud desktop of a specific desktop type, the about-to-expire label is displayed on the desktop card when the cloud desktop is about to expire. You can click related hyperlinks to renew the cloud desktop on the EDS renewal page.

Message forwarding and handling are optimized. You can copy messages or jump to new pages by clicking hyperlinks in messages in the message center of a cloud desktop.

The glassmorphism effect is added to application- and system-level windows of a cloud desktop on the macOS client to improve the overall visual effect consistency of desktop UIs.

New UIs are released on Alibaba Cloud Workspace clients. The components for cloud resource cards, the user center, and the message center are updated, and a matte effect is added to make the UIs appear more exquisite and softer in colors.

The message center is added to manage the following information: user messages, reminders for product expiration, administrator notifications, desktop assignment and reclamation messages, and operations and activities. You can batch read and delete these messages.

After the administrator activates the organization ID verification and mobile number verification features, you can log on to a client by using a mobile number and a verification code sent to your mobile number.

Clients can be switched to the personal edition. You can log on to a client, access a cloud desktop, and scan the on-screen QR code by using Alipay.

The modals of desktop cards change based on the amount of resources.

Desktop cards can be dragged to change the desktop layout order. The changed layout order is automatically synchronized to clients.

The client network quality can be analyzed in real time. When the network connectivity is weak, a notification on weak networks appears.

The toolbar of a cloud desktop is updated to an assistive ball. You can drag the ball, and the ball can hide when it is close to the edge of the desktop screen.

The panel of performance metrics is updated. In the panel, the load balancing feature of cloud desktop resources is added. You can view performance metrics in simple mode or detailed mode.

The version description of new images can be viewed before you update previous images.

The historical records that match keywords, such as an organization ID or a workspace ID, are automatically displayed in the workspace drop-down list.

If an IT administrator enables the maintenance mode for a cloud desktop, the cloud desktop cannot be connected, stopped, or restarted from a client.

In most cases, the administrator assigns multiple cloud desktops to multiple end users. If an end user connects to a cloud desktop, other ends users cannot connect to, stop, or restart the cloud desktop during the desktop connection.

The anti-screenshot feature is supported. After your IT administrator enables the feature, you cannot capture screenshots of cloud desktop screens on a client.

If an IT administrator enables the immersive mode in the EDS console, you can only stay on client UIs after your local computer are powered on.

Packet loss and network jitter are reduced to improve user experience in poor network conditions. Hardware-accelerated decoding technologies are provided to improve video playback performance.

The double-screen mode is supported by an ASP-based cloud desktop. You can enable or disable the double-screen mode based on your business requirements.

The message center for a cloud desktop is added to support management of user messages, administrator notification messages, desktop distribution and recycling of messages, and batch reading and deletion.

Cloud desktop cards can be dragged and arranged in an order based on your business requirements.

The authorized cloud disk space is displayed after you log on to Alibaba Cloud Workspace client by using an organization ID. If you have the permissions to access cross-region cloud disks, you can access cloud disks across regions. This facilitates file transfer among cloud disks, cloud desktops, and cloud applications.
