To allow specific traffic, such as requests from VIPs or internal employees, to bypass a waiting room during traffic surges, you can create a waiting room bypass rule to ensure the traffic goes straight to the origin without queuing.
Before you begin
An Enterprise plan has been purchased for your website and you have applied for the feature. You can upgrade to Enterprise and contact us to use this feature.
Create a waiting room bypass rule
In the ESA console, choose Websites. In the Website column, click the target website.
In the left navigation pane, choose .
Click the drop-down arrow next to the waiting room name. In the Waiting Room Bypass Rules section, click View Rule.
Click Create Rule.
NoteYou can create up to five bypass rules for each waiting room.
On the Create Bypass Rule page, set Rule Name and the conditions for matching incoming requests in the If requests match... section, and then click OK. For more information, see Work with rules.
