    At the end of 2020, the CentOS project announced the end of maintenance for CentOS 8 and shifted focus to CentOS Stream. CentOS Stream is an upstream development distribution for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). CentOS Stream continuously integrates the latest features and fixes in rolling update mode. Alibaba Cloud regularly updates and releases CentOS Stream image versions to provide the latest features, security patches, and performance optimizations. This topic describes the versions and updates of CentOS Stream images.
