Apsara File Storage NAS provides various resource plans to help you save costs. After you understand the resource plan types, offset capacity, and offset coefficients, you can purchase proper resource plans by evaluating resource usage or based on historical resource usage.
Prerequisites
You are familiar with the resource plan types, offset capacity, and offset coefficients. For more information, see Overview (resource plans).
If you purchase resource plans as a RAM user, you must grant the AliyunNASFullAccess permission on NAS file systems to the RAM user. For more information, see Perform access control based on RAM policies.
Purchasing guide
When you purchase resource plans, we recommend that you take into account the services you need, your business volume, and the region where you want to use the resource plans.
Example
Scenario
The following table provides an example of your estimated resource usage of NAS file systems in May 2022.
Region | File system type | Resource usage |
China (Hangzhou) | Performance NAS file system |
|
China (Shanghai) | Standard Extreme NAS file system | Purchased capacity: 200 GiB |
Advanced Extreme NAS file system | Purchased capacity: 300 GiB |
Analysis on how to choose resource plans
The following table lists the recommended resource plan specifications based on the preceding scenario. You can also use the calculator to quickly calculate the base capacity of each resource plan.
File system type | Billable item | Resource usage | Recommended resource plan specifications |
Performance NAS file system | Storage usage of General-purpose NAS file systems (Capacity or Performance NAS file systems) | 60 GiB | Total storage capacity: 60 GiB × 5.47 + 380 GiB × 0.37 = 468.8 GiB
|
Storage capacity of the IA storage class | 380 GiB
Read traffic of the IA storage class | 1 GiB | A NAS resource plan can be used to offset only the storage usage fees. Read and write traffic fees cannot be offset. For more information, see Overview (resource plans).
Write traffic of the IA storage class | 2 GiB
Standard Extreme NAS file system | Purchased capacity of the Extreme NAS file system | 200 GiB | Total storage capacity: 200 GiB + 300 GiB = 500 GiB
|
Advanced Extreme NAS file system | Purchased capacity of the Extreme NAS file system | 300 GiB |
