This document is intended for new individual users. This document describes how to create an Alibaba Cloud account, manage expenses, and use the Alibaba Cloud Management Console.

Procedure

  1. Create an Alibaba Cloud account.

    Before you use Alibaba Cloud services, you must create an Alibaba Cloud account. For more information, see Create an Alibaba Cloud account.

  2. Optional. Complete security settings for your Alibaba Cloud account.

    To ensure the security of your Alibaba Cloud account, we recommend that you complete at least one of the following security settings: Change the logon password and enable multi-factor authentication (MFA). For more information, see Configure security settings for an Alibaba Cloud account.

  3. Optional. Obtain an AccessKey pair.

    When you call operations, you must use the AccessKey pair to complete identity verification. For more information about how to obtain an AccessKey pair, see Obtain an AccessKey pair.

  4. Optional. Create a Resource Access Management (RAM) user and grant permissions to the RAM user.

    To ensure the security of your Alibaba Cloud account, we recommend that you create a RAM user and grant the RAM user the permissions to manage all resources within your Alibaba Cloud account after you complete the basic settings for your Alibaba Cloud account.

  5. Use the Alibaba Cloud Management Console

    The Alibaba Cloud Management Console is a web application that provides a graphical user interface (GUI) for you to manage Alibaba Cloud services. For more information, see Use the Alibaba Cloud Management Console.
