Data Management:Billable items (DMS)

Last Updated:Dec 02, 2025

This topic describes the billing items for DMS, including billing methods and pricing. It does not cover the the billable items of Data Backup (DBS).

Notes

  • The pay-as-you-go and subscription billing methods for DMS products are not interchangeable.

If you want to switch the billing method for Control Mode and Sensitive Data Protection from pay-as-you-go to subscription, you must first unsubscribe from your current pay-as-you-go product and then purchase a subscription product.

  • Charges from DMS products under different billing methods cannot offset each other.

For example, a subscription for a Security Collaboration instance cannot offset charges for a pay-as-you-go Security Collaboration instance.

FAQ

Q: I purchased a pay-as-you-go DMS product but did not use it. Why am I still being charged?

A: After you purchase a pay-as-you-go product, a quota is generated and billed continuously. If you no longer need the paid features of DMS, for example, when an instance is released or deleted in DMS, you must manually unsubscribe or assign the quota to another instance. DMS does not automatically unsubscribe from the service for you. For more information about specific operations, see Refund policy.
