If convenience users forget their logon passwords, you can reset the passwords in the Elastic Desktop Service (EDS) console or from an EDS client. This topic describes how to reset the logon password of a convenience user in the EDS console.

Background information

If a convenience user forgets the password, you can reset the password in the EDS console. The system sends a password reset email to the email address of the convenience user. The convenience user can obtain the initial password from the email and log on to the client to reset the password.
Note The convenience user can also reset the password in the client.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the EDS console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click User management.
  4. On the User management page, use the one of the following methods to reset the password:
    • Find the user whose password you want to reset, and click Reset Password in the Actions column.
    • Select one or more users whose passwords you want to reset, and click Reset Password in the lower part of the page.
  5. In the message that appears, click Reset.
    The system sends a password reset email to the email address of the convenience user. The convenience user can obtain the initial password from the email and log on to the client to reset the password.
