This topic describes how to create a workspace of the convenience account type.

Background information

The following section describes how to create a workspace of the convenience account type. For some parameters, the minimal or default configurations are used. For more information, see Create a workspace of the convenience account type.


  1. Log on to the EDS console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Overview.
  3. On the Overview page, click Create workspace.
    Note If your account does not have Elastic Desktop Service (EDS) resources, the Overview page automatically displays the operation wizard. In the Custom creation section, click Start creating to create a workspace.
  4. In the Configure Secure Office Network step, configure the parameters and click Next: Configure Account System.
    Sample configurations:
    • Select region: East China 1 (Hangzhou)
    • Workspace name: test
    • IPv4 CIDR block:
    • Connection Method: Internet
    • Cloud Enterprise Network: Do not join
    • Local Administrator: Specify Users within This Workspace as Local Administrator

  5. In the Configure Account System step, set Account Type to Convenience Account and then click Create workspace now.

After the workspace is created, you can view the workspace on the Overview page. You can click the workspace ID to view details about the workspace.

What to do next
