This topic describes how to modify the configuration of a virtual border router (VBR) to meet your business requirements.

Background information

  • You can upgrade or downgrade a VBR as needed. However, you cannot modify the configuration of an Express Connect circuit.
    • For VBRs that you purchased, you can upgrade or downgrade their bandwidth limits on demand. For more information, see Upgrade and Downgrade.
    • For free VBRs, you can change their bandwidth limits free of charge. For more information, see Change the bandwidth limit of a free VBR.
Note By default, you cannot adjust the bandwidth limits of free VBRs. To use this feature, Submit a ticket to acquire the permissions first.
  • The sum of bandwidth limits of all VBRs on an Express Connect circuit cannot be higher than the bandwidth limit of the Express Connect circuit.
  • After you change the bandwidth limit of a VBR, the new bandwidth limit immediately takes effect.
