Operations reports allow you to query offline analytics data of accelerated domain names in specified time periods. You can learn about the status of accelerated domain names and your business by analyzing the data.

Prerequisites

A domain name is added to Dynamic Route for CDN (DCDN). If no domain name is added to DCDN, add one. For more information, see Add a domain name.

Features

An operations report consists of the following metrics: PV/UV, Regions and ISPs, Domain Names, Popular Referer Headers, Popular URLs, Popular Back-to-origin URLs, and Top Client IPs. You can create a custom operations report and a tracking task based on your business requirements. After you create a tracking task, DCDN sends operations reports to the email address that you specify. You can learn about the status of accelerated domain names by analyzing the content of operations reports.
Report content Description
PV/UV Allows you to query page views (PVs) and unique visitors (UVs) of accelerated domain names by time.
Regions and ISPs Displays the distribution of visitors by region and Internet service provider (ISP). You can select regions that are inside or outside Chinese mainland and specify a time period to query the information.
Domain Names Displays the rank, traffic proportions, traffic usage, peak bandwidth values, time of peak bandwidth values, and number of visits for each accelerated domain name.
Popular Referer Headers Displays the network traffic, traffic proportion, number of requests, and request proportion of frequently requested referer headers.
Popular URLs Displays frequently requested URLs based on specified query conditions. You can query URLs by HTTP status code.
Note You can query frequently requested URLs by day. For example, after you select the date, the system displays the top 100 most requested URLs on the specified day.
Popular Back-to-origin URLs Displays frequently requested back-to-origin URLs based on specified query conditions. You can query URLs by HTTP status code.
Note You can query frequently requested back-to-origin URLs by day. For example, after you select the date, the system displays the top 100 most requested URLs on the specified day.
Top Client IPs Displays top client IP addresses based on specified query conditions. You can rank IP addresses by network traffic or the number of requests.

Create a custom operations report

You must create a custom operations report before statistical data can be collected. Log data is generated throughout the course of a day. Typically, a custom operations report that is created on the current day is generated on the next day. For example, if you create a custom operations report on February 20, 2021, the operations report is generated on February 21, 2021.
Note
  • After you specify the following metrics in an operations report, you can query relevant information in the console. Alternatively, you can create a tracking task. After a tracking task is created, the operations report is sent to the email address that you specify.
    • Popular URLs by Request
    • Popular Referer by Request
    • Popular Back-to-origin URLs by Traffic
    • Top Client IPs by Request
    • Popular Domain Names by Traffic
    • PV/UV
    • Visit Distribution by Region
    • Distribution of ISPs
  • By default, other data about the operation reports is not displayed in the console. You can query relevant information by creating a tracking task. After a tracking task is created, operations reports are sent to the email address that you specify.
  1. Log on to the DCDN console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Operations Reports.
  3. On the Operations Reports tab, click Customize Operations Report.
  4. In the Customize Operations Report dialog box, configure the Domain Names and Report Content parameters.
    Create a custom operations report
    Parameter Description
Domain Names Select one or more accelerated domain names for which you want to create a custom operations report.
Note You can select up to 500 domain names. If you want to create a custom operations report for more than 500 domain names, submit a ticket. Otherwise, you cannot create a custom operations report for domain names that exceed this limit.
Report Content Select one or more metrics for the operations report.
  5. Click OK. The system prompts that The custom operations report is created.

Create a tracking task

Before you create a tracking task, make sure that you have created a custom operations report. Otherwise, you cannot create a tracking task. After you create a tracking task, the system sends operations reports to the email address that you specify. You can analyze the content of the operations reports.
Note
  • The operations report tracking feature is in trial run. Each Alibaba Cloud account (including RAM users) can create a maximum of five tracking tasks.
  • Log data is generated throughout the course of a day. The data may require some time to generate. The system sends an operations report only when all required data is retrieved.
  1. Log on to the DCDN console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Operations Reports.
  3. On the Operations Reports page, click the Tracking Tasks tab.
  4. Click Create Task and configure the parameters that are listed in the following table.
    Create a tracking task
    Parameter Description
Task Name Enter a name for the tracking task.
Report Type You can select only one of the following options: Daily Report, Weekly Report, and Monthly Report.
    • Daily Report: After the log data of the previous day is collected, the system sends the operations report to your email address.
    • Weekly Report: After the log data of the previous calendar week is collected, the system sends the operations report to your email address. Typically, when you create a weekly report, the report is sent on Monday morning of the following week.
    • Monthly Report: After the log data of the previous calendar month is collected, the system sends the operations report to your email address.
Email Address Enter an email address to receive the operations report. You can enter multiple email addresses. Separate them with commas (,).
Domain Names Select one or more accelerated domain names whose operations report to which you want to subscribe.
Report Content Select the report content to which you want to subscribe.
  5. Click OK. The system prompts that The tracking task is created.
After the tracking task is created, do not delete the metrics of the report content when you create a custom operations report. If you delete the metrics of the report content, the IDs of the deleted metrics are displayed when you click Modify to view the tracking task. In this case, the operations report is not created and cannot be sent to your email address. For more information about the mapping between IDs and metrics of a report, see The mapping between IDs and metrics of a report.

The mapping between IDs and metrics of a report

The following table lists the mapping between IDs and metrics of a report.
Report ID Name Metric Calculation method
2 TopUrlByAcc Popular URLs by Request Sorted by the number of requests.
4 TopUrlByTraf Popular URLs by Traffic

Sorted by network traffic. An increase of traffic increases the coefficient of the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) packet header.

6 TopReferByAcc Popular Referer by Request Sorted by the number of requests.
8 TopReferByTraf Popular Referer by Traffic

Sorted by network traffic. An increase of traffic increases the coefficient of the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) packet header.

10 OriginTopUrlByAcc Popular Back-to-origin URLs by Request Sorted by the number of requests.
12 OriginTopUrlByTraf Popular Back-to-origin URLs by Traffic
