If you enable IPv6, clients that support IPv6 can have access to live streams over IPv6.

Background information

Alibaba Cloud CDN nodes that are deployed in mainland China support IPv6. You can enable IPv6 for a domain name when you configure the domain name.

If clients are deployed on an IPv6 network and the nearest CDN nodes support IPv6, the clients can send IPv6 requests to the CDN nodes after you enable IPv6. If the nearest CDN nodes do not support IPv6, the clients can send IPv4 requests to the CDN nodes.

Note CDN nodes that are deployed in regions outside mainland China, including China (Hong Kong), China (Macau), and China (Taiwan), do not support IPv6.

Both ingest domains and streaming domains support IPv6. The following procedure shows you how to enable IPv6 for a streaming domain. The procedure for enabling IPv6 for an ingest domain is the same as that for a streaming domain.

  1. Log on to the ApsaraVideo Live console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Domains to go to the Domain Management page.
  3. Find the streaming domain that you want to configure and click Domain Settings.

  4. Choose Stream Management > IPv6.
  5. Turn on IPv6 Setting.
