Cost Analysis

The cost analysis feature helps you better manage the usage of your cloud service resources.

This feature provides comprehensive cost analysis capabilities and allows you to view cost predictions, overall cost composition, and trends in resource costs over up to12 months across a variety of dimensions. You can also save a set of filter conditions as a report for quick query.

Note

1. The cost analysis results contain data lagging behind by one day.

2. Cost predictions are estimated based on your historical pay-as-you-go usage and may differ from the actual costs incurred. Cost predictions can be made for up to 90 days out. The predicted costs are pay-as-you-go costs and are for reference only.

In the cost trends section,you can view cost trends across a variety of dimensions.

  1. Category dimension: allowsyou to view cost trends across a variety of dimensions such as product, productdetail, and cost center.

  • Instance tag: allows you to specify tag values so that cost trends are provided for resources bound with the tags.

  • Instance ID: allows you to select up to 10 instances for cost trend analysis.

2. Fee category: allows you toview prices displayed in the official website or the payable amount on bills.

3. Time granularity: allowsyou to view data within a specific time range at a specified granularity suchas hour, day, and month.

  • You can view data of up to 14 days by instance.

  • You can view data of up to 14 days by hour.

4. Chart category: allows you to view data displayed in stacked column charts, line charts, or bar charts.

5. Filter condition: allows you to filter and view more detailed cost trends across multiple dimensions. By default, all available filter conditions are used. You can choose to include or exclude a specific filter condition. After you select and apply specific filter conditions, the cost trend chart contains only the data corresponding to the filter conditions that you selected.

6. Data table: allows you to preview or export data within a selected range.

Note

Only the top 10 items by amount are displayed in a time granularity-based chart, and other items are displayed as Others. You can export data to view details of all items.

Manage reports

3-chWhen you view a cost trend chart, you can select and save a set of filter conditions as a report and name the report.

On the Report Management page, you can view all saved cost analysis reports and filter conditions for each report. You can click View in the Actions column corresponding to a reportto view the corresponding cost trend chart.

Predict costs

4-chYou can choose to view the predicted total costs for a specified time range up to 90 days in length in the calendar control of a cost trend chart.

Note

1. Cost predictions are estimated based on your historical pay-as-you-go usage and may differ from the actual costs incurred. The predicted costs are for reference only.

2. To obtain cost predictions, you must have a consumption history of more than 60 days, and your average daily consumption must be greater than 1 USD.

3. You can view predicted costs 24 hours after you enable the cost analysis feature.

4. Only the forecast of total pay-as-you-go costs is supported, and the forecast of detailed category expenses is not supported.
