To use Global Accelerator (GA) to accelerate multiple domain names, you must configure intelligent DNS resolution for the origin server and map the domain name that you want to accelerate to the canonical name (CNAME) allocated by GA.

Step 1: Obtain the CNAME of the domain name that you want to accelerate

  1. Log on to the Global Accelerator console.
  2. On the Instances page, find the GA instance that you want to manage and click its ID.
  3. On the page that appears, click the Instance Information tab.
  4. In the Basic Information section, find CNAME and click Copy to copy the CNAME.

Step 2: Add a CNAME record

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.
  2. On the Manage DNS page, find the domain name and click Configure in the Actions column to navigate to the DNS Settings page.
  3. On the DNS Settings page, click Add Record.
  4. In the Add Record panel, set the following parameters and click Confirm.
    Parameter Description
Type Select CNAME from the drop-down list.
Host Enter the prefix of the domain name that you want to accelerate.
    • If the domain name is www.aliyun.com, set the prefix to www.
    • If the domain name is aliyun.com, set the prefix to @.
    • If the domain name is *.aliyun.com, set the prefix to *.
    • If the domain name is mail.aliyun.com, set the prefix to mail.
ISP Line Select Default from the drop-down list.
Value Paste the CNAME that you obtained in Step 1: Obtain the CNAME of the domain name that you want to accelerate.
TTL Select 10 minute(s) from the drop-down list.
    Note
    • New CNAME records immediately take effect. If you modify the CNAME record, the record takes effect within 72 hours after it is modified.
    • After you add a CNAME record, it requires about 10 minutes for the system to update the status in the console. The message "You must add the CNAME record" may appear on the Domain Names page.

Step 3: Verify that the CNAME record is effective

The Windows operating system is used in this example to verify that the CNAME record is effective.

  1. Open the Windows command prompt.
  2. Run the ping command to ping the accelerated domain name.
If *.*kunlun*.com appears in the output, the CNAME record takes effect. Check whether the CNAME record takes effect
