Alibaba Cloud DNS:Add an A record for a website domain name

Overview

You can add an A record for a domain name to point the domain name to the IP address of your website server. This ensures that your website is accessible.

Procedure

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

2. On the Domain Name Resolution page, click the Authoritative Domain Names tab. Find the domain name for which you want to add an A record and click DNS Settings in the Actions column.

   

3. Add an A record.

   In this example, dns-example.top is the primary domain name. If you want users to access your websites by using dns-example.top and www.dns-example.top, you must add an A record for each domain name.

• On the DNS Settings page, click Add DNS Record.

  

• Add an A record for www.dns-example.top to point the domain name to the IP address of the website server.

  Important

  In this example, the Hostname parameter is set to www, and the Record Value parameter is set to 192.0.2.1. In actual configurations, you must set the Record Value parameter to the IP address of your website server.

  

• Add an A record for dns-example.com to point the domain name to the IP address of your website server.

  Important

  In this example, the Hostname parameter is set to @, and the Record Value parameter is set to 192.0.2.1. In actual configurations, you must set the Record Value parameter to the IP address of your website server.
