Overview
Alibaba Cloud DNS provides the following two types of resolution lines for users based on the intelligent Domain Name System (DNS) resolution feature: Internet service provider (ISP) line and regional line. These users have purchased Alibaba Cloud DNS instances of Enterprise Standard Edition or Enterprise Ultimate Edition.
Procedure
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.
On the Authoritative Domain Names tab of the Domain Name Resolution page, find the desired domain name and click DNS Settings in the Actions column.
Click Switch Line Type to view the current line type. The value in the parentheses (()) after DNS Request Source also indicates the current line type. The value can be ISP or Region.
In the Are you sure that you want to switch the line type message, click OK.
After you switch ISP lines to regional lines, the DNS records that contain ISP lines and Alibaba Cloud lines are paused. The DNS records that contain the default line, lines outside the Chinese mainland, search engine lines, and custom lines are not affected.
After you switch ISP lines to regional lines, the weight settings of the DNS records that contain ISP lines and Alibaba Cloud lines become invalid. The weight settings of the DNS records that contain the default line, lines outside the Chinese mainland, search engine lines, and custom lines are not affected.
After you switch regional lines to ISP lines, the DNS records that contain lines in the Chinese mainland are paused. The DNS records that contain the default line, lines outside the Chinese mainland, search engine lines, and custom lines are not affected.
After you switch regional lines to ISP lines, the weight settings of DNS records that contain the lines in the Chinese mainland become invalid. The weight settings of the DNS records that contain the default line, lines outside the Chinese mainland, search engine lines, and custom lines are not affected.
After you switch to the original line type, the paused DNS records are not automatically enabled and you need to enable the paused DNS records. After you enable the paused DNS records, the weight settings of the DNS records take effect again.
