    Data Management:View the progress of a lock-free schema change task

    After you submit a lock-free schema change task in Data Management (DMS), you can monitor its execution progress, review task details, and adjust execution parameters from the DMS console.

    Prerequisites

    Before you begin, ensure that you have:

    • Submitted a lock-free schema change task in DMS

    View task progress

    1. Log on to the DMS console V5.0.

    2. In the top navigation bar, choose O&M > Task.

      Note

      If you use the DMS console in simple mode, move the pointer over the 2023-01-28_15-57-17.png icon in the upper-left corner and choose All functions > O&M > Task.

    3. Find the lock-free schema change task and click the task ID.

    4. In the Execution details dialog box, click Progress in the Operation column.

      Note

      The Progress button appears in the Operation column only for lock-free schema change tasks.

    5. In the Lock-Free structure change dialog box, review the task details, progress, and execution parameters.

      If your account has DMS administrator or database administrator (DBA) privileges, you can also modify the execution parameters in this dialog box. For details, see Configure the control on SQL execution.
