To improve reliability, Data Management (DMS) will optimize the Data Disaster Recovery (formerly DBS) feature on August 20, 2025.
Effective date
August 20, 2025
Change details
Logical backup jobs with a Full Backup Frequency of Single Backup (including both pre-existing and newly created jobs) will no longer support incremental log backup.
Impact and suggestions
Impact
Full backup jobs with a Full Backup Frequency of Single Backup require manual startup. If incremental log backup is enabled for such a job, a point-in-time restore may fail because a valid full backup set is not available.
Suggestions
To prevent irrecoverable data loss, modify the configuration of affected backup plans before the feature optimization by changing the Full Backup Frequency to Periodic Backup.
If you do not modify the affected backup plans promptly, any resulting loss or threat will not be covered by the DMS Service-Level Agreement (SLA).
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and support.
