Data Lake Formation (DLF) automatically syncs all RAM users in your Alibaba Cloud account. This topic describes how to view users and manage their roles and permissions in the DLF console.
DLF user management supports RAM users and roles only. To create or modify RAM users, go to the RAM console.
View users
Log on to the Data Lake Formation console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Permission > User. The User page lists all RAM users in your current account.
View user details
On the User page, click a username to view the user's basic information, role information, and permission information.
Add a user to a role
On the user details page, click the Added Role tab to see the roles currently assigned to the user.
Click Add Role to add the user to an existing DLF role. The user inherits all permissions associated with that role.
View permissions
On the user details page, click the Permissions tab to see the user's Personal Permissions and Role Permissions.
Add permissions
On the user details page, click the Permissions tab.
To grant data permissions directly to the user, click the Personal Permissions tab, then click Add Permission. For details, see Add permissions.
To add data permissions for existing roles, click the Role Permissions tab, then click Add Permission.
