In addition to its core data development and scheduling features, DataWorks offers a range of other features. These features use a pay-as-you-go model. This ensures you pay only for the resources you use. This document describes the billing rules, pricing, and other details for these pay-as-you-go features to help you understand and manage your costs. These fees are part of your total DataWorks bill, along with software subscription fees and resource group (CU) fees.
For information about all billable items in DataWorks, see Billing overview.
Internet traffic billing
Scenarios
If a DataWorks data source is configured with a public IP address, Internet traffic fees are incurred when tasks that use this data source are executed. Go to the . On the Data Integration tab, in the Sync Task Execution Details section, filter by Has Internet Traffic to identify the tasks that generate Internet traffic. Test runs of these tasks in Data Development also generate Internet traffic.
Internet traffic fees are incurred only when you use exclusive resource groups for integration. When you use serverless resource groups, charges for Internet traffic generated by other cloud products during data transfer depend on the billing policies of those products.

Smart baseline instance billing
Scenarios
Smart Baseline is a monitoring and analysis system for DataWorks task runs. It decides whether, when, how, and to whom to send alerts based on monitoring rules and task run status. Smart baselines with an enabling status generate baseline instances, which incur fees. Go to to view the number of enabled smart baselines.

Alert text messages and phone calls generated by real-time sync task monitoring and Data Quality are also billable.
This feature is available only in DataWorks Standard Edition and later.

Data Quality check billing
Scenarios
Data Quality provides an end-to-end solution for data quality management. This includes data profiling, comparison, quality monitoring, SQL scanning, and smart alerts. Data Quality is billed based on the number of Data Quality checks that are successfully triggered by task instances. Data Quality checks that are successfully triggered by recurring schedule instances, data backfill instances, or trial runs are all billable.
For example, a table is configured with two partition filter expressions. Each expression has two Data Quality check rules. After you associate a scheduling task, the Data Quality rules for the table are run with the task. If the task runs successfully, four Data Quality checks are billed for that single task run.
Billing standards
Billing cycle: Daily.
Billing granularity: Number of successful instances per day.
Free quota: DataWorks provides a free quota of 10 successful instances per day.
ImportantIf the number of daily instances exceeds 1,280,000, you will reach the upper limit. This prevents instances from being scheduled and run. If your business requirements exceed this limit, please submit a ticket for assistance.

OpenAPI has a daily limit on the number of calls. For more information, see Limits. Depending on your DataWorks edition, the number of calls you can make may be limited to the free quota.
Scenarios
DataWorks provides OpenAPI capabilities for multiple modules, such as tenants, metadata, Data Development, Operation Center, and data integration. You can call DataWorks OpenAPI to use various features. DataWorks charges you based on the number of successful API calls.
