Billing system of DataWorks

- Required features and resources:
DataWorks Basic Edition is activated by default, and features and resources supported by this edition are charged based on the pay-as-you-go billing method. Fees are calculated based on the unit price and usage of each billable item.
- Optional features and resources:You can activate DataWorks of a more advanced edition such as Standard Edition or Professional Edition on top of Basic Edition that is activated by default. More advanced editions provide more features than Basic Edition. You can also purchase other advanced features, such as Data Modeling, or exclusive resource groups based on your business requirements. The advanced features and exclusive resource groups are charged based on the subscription billing method. You need to plan a subscription duration based on your business requirements before you purchase the features and resources. The unit of the subscription duration can be month or year.Note After DataWorks of a more advanced edition expires, the edition of DataWorks is automatically downgraded to Basic Edition. After exclusive resource groups expire, shared resource groups are provided. This helps maintain the basic services and capabilities of DataWorks.
- Billing rules of other Alibaba Cloud services used in DataWorks:
If you use big data compute engines in DataWorks, you are charged storage and computing fees based on the billing rules of the related Alibaba Cloud services. For example, if you use compute engines and storage services such as MaxCompute, Hologres, and E-MapReduce (EMR) in DataWorks, you are charged fees for the features provided by the services based on the billing rules of the services. These fees are not included in your DataWorks bill.
