Thank you for your support for Alibaba Cloud DataWorks. To provide more comprehensive services, better meet your needs, and deliver a simpler and clearer user experience, Alibaba Cloud is making the following adjustments to the shared resource group for scheduling:
● Effective September 10, 2026, new tasks can no longer use the shared resource group for scheduling. Existing tasks configured with it can continue to run normally. If you need to modify the configuration of such a task (for example, to change the task owner), you must also change the resource group used by the task to a serverless resource group (recommended) or an exclusive resource group for scheduling. Otherwise, the task cannot be saved.
● Effective February 6, 2027, the shared resource group for scheduling will no longer be available, and tasks configured with it will no longer run.
To prevent your tasks from failing to run, be sure to migrate all tasks that use the shared resource group for scheduling to a serverless resource group (recommended) or an exclusive resource group for scheduling before February 6, 2027.
Serverless resource groups are a new type of general-purpose resource group released by DataWorks. They provide the capabilities of both the shared resource group for scheduling and the exclusive resource group for scheduling, offer richer features, and deliver more stable and efficient task execution. We recommend that you use serverless resource groups. For more information, see DataWorks serverless resource groups
