On the homepage of DataMap, you can search for tables and APIs by keyword. You can also view the tables that are most frequently read, APIs that are most frequently called, and tables and APIs that are most frequently viewed. DataWorks displays the tables and APIs based on your access records. This topic describes how to search for tables and APIs on the homepage of DataMap.

Go to the homepage of DataMap

  1. Log on to the DataWorks console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Workspaces.
  3. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your workspace resides. On the Workspaces page, find your workspace and click Data Map in the Actions column. The homepage of DataMap appears.

Search for tables and APIs

The homepage of DataMap displays the tables and APIs that are most frequently used. You can click the name of a table or an API to view the information of the table or API. You can also enter a keyword in the search box to search for the desired table or API. Search for tables

  • Search for a table
    Click the Filter icon to select a data source type. Search for tables in the data source by entering keywords that are contained in the names, descriptions, or tags of the tables in the search box, and click Search. The All Data tab appears and displays all tables in the data source that match the keywords. On the left side of the All Data tab, click Fields and search for fields in the data source by entering keywords that are contained in the names or descriptions of the fields, or in the names or descriptions of metrics that are created in Data Modeling in the search box.     Note
    • The following data source types are supported: MaxCompute, E-MapReduce, Hologres, AnalyticDB for MySQL 2.0, AnalyticDB for MySQL 3.0, OSS, AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL, OTS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.
    • After you enter a keyword, a maximum of 10 tables that meet the filter condition can be displayed in the drop-down list. You can click the name of a table to view the details of the table on the details page of the table. For more information, see View the details of a table.
    • If the Data Modeling icon is displayed next to the name of a table, the table is generated by the Data Modeling service of DataWorks. For more information about how to use the Data Modeling feature, see Overview.

  • Search for an API
    In the search box, enter a keyword to search for APIs that match the keyword. You can enter a keyword that is contained in an API ID, API path, API name, or API description.
    Note After you enter a keyword, a maximum of 10 APIs that meet the filter condition can be displayed in the drop-down list. You can click the name of an API to view the details of the API on the details page of the API. For more information, see View the details of an API.

    • On the Table tab, you can view the following information: Recently Viewed Tables, Recently Read Tables, Most Viewed Tables, and Most Read Tables. The tables in the Most Viewed Tables and Most Read Tables sections are recommended by DataWorks based on the access records of the current Alibaba Cloud account.
    • If the Data Modeling icon is displayed next to the name of a table, the table is generated by the Data Modeling service of DataWorks. For more information about how to use the Data Modeling feature, see Overview.

  • API

    On the API tab, you can view the following information: Recently Viewed APIs, Frequently Viewed APIs, and Frequently Called APIs. The APIs in the Frequently Viewed APIs and Frequently Called APIs sections are recommended by DataWorks based on the access records of the current Alibaba Cloud account.
