DataV:Toolbar

The toolbar is an essential component of the canvas editor, located at the top of the editor page. It provides functions such as switching between canvas/blueprint, beautification, filters, global search for layers/instructions/widgets/design libraries, and canvas refresh, significantly improving editing efficiency. This topic describes the usage procedures for each feature in detail.

Preparations

Prerequisites

You have created a dashboard. You can create a dashboard from a template, create a dashboard from a blank canvas.

Access the canvas editor

Before you perform toolbar management and related operations, follow these steps to access the canvas editor:

  1. Access the DataV console.

  2. On the All Projects page, hover over the target dashboard and click Edit to access the canvas editor page.

Beautification toolbox

Click Beautify in the toolbar at the top of the canvas to open the beautification toolbox.

The beautification toolbox provides two core features: Smart Theme and One-click Beautification. Smart Theme supports switching the color scheme and text style of dashboard widgets with one click, with multiple built-in professional theme colors and support for uploading custom themes. One-click Beautification allows you to quickly adjust the dashboard layout and enrich the dashboard content with built-in styles, effectively solving the problem of difficult dashboard style configuration.

Filter configuration

The filter configuration feature in the toolbar supports multi-dimensional color adjustment for dashboards, including fine-grained settings for core parameters such as Hue Rotate, Saturation, Brightness, Contrast, and Opacity, helping you quickly achieve customized visual effects.

  1. Click Filter in the toolbar at the top of the canvas to access the Filter Settings panel. Click a blank area to exit the configuration.

    When the Enable switch is turned off, the configuration items in the filter configuration panel can only be viewed but not modified.image

  2. In the Filter Settings panel, modify the widget's Hue Rotate, Saturation, Brightness, Contrast, and Opacity.

    You can preview the filter effect on the widget in real time during the modification process.

  3. After the modification is complete, click any area outside the filter configuration on the canvas to apply the changes.

Global search

Click Search in the toolbar at the top of the canvas to input relevant symbols for searching corresponding content or to view the dashboard statistics.

Through the global search function, you can quickly search and add required widget libraries, layers, fonts, global variables, design libraries, and instructions. You can also view summary information about the widgets, variables, fonts, and data source requests used in the current dashboard, along with batch replace fonts used by widgets.

Related operations

Description

Enter +

Search for widgets in the widget library. Click or drag to add them to the canvas.

Enter /

Search for layers in the current canvas. Click to quickly locate a specific layer.

Enter ~

Search for fonts used in the current canvas. You can view the number of widgets using each font.

Click the image icon to quickly locate widgets using that font. You can also batch replace fonts used by widgets. You can also batch change fonts used by charts in the dashboard through Other Settings.

Note

The image icon indicates that the corresponding font is not installed on your local device. If you select this font, the widget text will be displayed in the default font style.

Enter :

Search for global variables in the current canvas. Click to quickly locate the variable.

Enter #

Search for materials in the design library. Click or drag to add them to the canvas.

Enter >

View instruction keyboard shortcuts, such as Refresh Canvas, Select All, Revoke, Save, etc.

Some instructions take effect immediately when clicked. Please refer to the actual interface functionality for details.

Query statistics

Click View Page Statistics to check statistics about widgets, blueprint nodes, interaction connections, data requests, fonts, and other elements in the current dashboard. Click the underlined numbers to jump to the corresponding search function.

Common management

The toolbar provides rich configuration features, including editor switching and theme settings.

Switch editors

In the toolbar at the top of the canvas, click the image icon and the image icon to switch between the Canvas Editor and Blueprint Editor pages.

Refresh canvas

In the toolbar at the top of the canvas, click the image icon to refresh the current canvas.

Show/hide panel

In the toolbar at the top of the canvas, click the image icon to open or close the Right Panel.

Theme settings

In the toolbar at the top of the canvas, click the image icon or the image icon to switch between Dark and Light.

Error message prompts

In the toolbar at the top of the canvas, click the image icon to view error messages in the current canvas, including but not limited to Widget Data Retrieval Failed and Filter Execution Error.

Error type

Description

WidgetFailed to retrieve data

This error occurs when a widget fails to request data from a data source. Data source requests may occur when a widget is loaded for the first time, when a widget is automatically updated, or when a global variable triggers an update.image

WidgetFilter Execution Error

This error occurs when a filter encounters an error while processing data that was successfully returned from a data source request.image

Preview/publish dashboards

Preview a dashboard

In the toolbar at the top of the canvas, click Preview to open a new page and preview the current dashboard.

Note
  • General Preview: Directly preview the dashboard.

  • Debugging Preview: Test the completed dashboard by viewing the main canvas connections, interaction logs, and widget logs.

Publish a dashboard

In the toolbar at the top of the canvas, click Publish to publish the current dashboard.
