Dataphin:View and manage logical table related objects

Last Updated:Jan 21, 2025

This topic outlines the process for viewing and managing related objects of a logical table, including associated logical tables, tables read by the current table, and computation/integration tasks that reference the current table.

Logical table related objects entry

  1. On the Dataphin home page, single click the top menu bar Developer. You will be directed to the data Development page by default.

  2. On the data Development page, use the following steps to select the logical table whose related objects you wish to view and manage, and navigate to the logical table related objects management page:

Single click Dimension/Fact logical table -> single click to select the desired logical table -> single click Related.

Introduction to logical table related objects

The logical table related objects page presents details about the related objects of the current logical table, including associated logical tables, input tables, and downstream tasks. Here, you can manage and view these related objects.

View associated logical tables

Associated dimensions reference other logical tables of the current table.

Note

Note: Only dimension logical tables can be associated as logical tables.

Area

Description

Search and filter area

  • Filter: Enables filtering of associated logical tables by logical table type and development status.

    • Logical Table Type: Includes common dimension logical table, hierarchical dimension logical table, event fact logical table, snapshot fact logical table, flow fact logical table, and aggregate logical table.

    • Development Status: Includes draft, submitting, submitted, and developing.

  • Search: Allows for searching of associated logical tables by entering the logical table name.

If the required associated logical table is not displayed, you can try single clicking image to refresh the list.

Associated logical list

The associated logical list shows the logical tables linked to the current logical table and the available operations.

  • Table information: Displays the logical table name, Chinese name, type, and development status.

  • Operation: Single click image to view the associated logical table.

View input tables

Input tables are those read by the current table, as specified in the source configuration of the current logical table's computation logic.

Note
  • Logical tables for virtual and enumeration dimensions do not support input tables.

  • The source for a hierarchical dimension logical table is the root physical table, rather than any intermediate tables.

  • Filter: Enables filtering of input tables by table type, including dimension logical table, hierarchical dimension logical table, fact logical table, aggregate logical table, and physical table.

  • Search: Allows for searching of input tables by entering the table name.

If the required input table is not displayed, you can try single clicking image to refresh the list.

Input table list

The input table list provides details about the input tables of the current logical table and the operations that can be performed.

  • Table information: Includes the table name, Chinese name, and type.

  • Operation: Single click image to view the input table.

View dependent objects

Dependent objects of the logical table include public calendar objects and global variable objects.

Public calendar

Area

Description

Refresh

Single click image to update the public calendar list.

Public Calendar List

The public calendar list shows the public calendar objects related to the current logical table and the operations available.

  • Object information: Includes the associated public calendar encoding, name, and reference method.

  • Operation: Single click image to view the associated public calendar.

Global variables

Area

Description

Refresh

Single click image to update the global variable list.

Global variable list

The global variable list provides details about the global variable objects related to the current logical table and the operations available.

  • Object information: Includes variable encoding and name.

  • Operation: Single click image to view the associated global variables.

View downstream tasks

Downstream tasks refer to computation/integration tasks and logical tables that depend on the current logical table, wherethe current table serves as the input for these tasks.

Area

Description

Search and filter area

  • Filter: Supports filtering of downstream tasks by node type, reference parameters, node project/section, schedule cycle, and owner.

  • Search: Enables searching for downstream tasks by entering the node ID or task name.

If the required downstream task is not visible, you can refresh the list by single clicking image.

Downstream task list

The downstream task list displays the tasks that are dependent on the current logical table, along with the operations that can be performed on them.

  • Downstream task information: Shows the downstream node name/ID, node type, associated project/section, schedule cycle, and owner.

  • Operation: To view the downstream tasks, single click image.

Dependent fields

This section includes All fields and A specific field, detailing the downstream tasks associated with each.

  • All fields: Lists all the task nodes downstream of the current logical table's fields.

  • A specific field: Click on the corresponding dependent field to view tasks that rely on that particular field.
