View and manage logical table downstream objects - Dataphin

Downstream objects of a logical table include atomic metrics and business filters created by referencing the table's fields. This topic outlines the process for viewing and managing these downstream objects.

Logical table downstream objects entry

In the top menu bar on the Dataphin home page, select Development > Data Development.
Select Project in the top menu bar (Dev-Prod mode also requires selecting Environment).
To view and manage downstream objects for a selected logical table, follow the steps below and navigate to the logical table's Downstream Objects management page.

Introduction to the logical table downstream objects list

The logical table downstream objects list page is comprised of a search and filter area, list functions, and the downstream objects list itself. Here, you can view downstream objects (atomic metrics, business filters) related to the logical table fields and manage them accordingly.

Area	Description
①Search and filter area	The search and filter area allows for filtering of downstream objects by File Format,Development Status, or by entering the Object Name or Code. File Format: encompasses both Atomic Metric and Business Condition. Development Status options are Draft, Submitting, Submitted, and Developing.
②List functions	The list functions allow you to create new downstream objects and refresh the current list. Create new downstream object: You can create a new Atomic Metric or Business Condition for the selected logical table. For details on creating downstream objects, refer to: create an atomic metric. business filter. Refresh: Click to update the list of downstream objects for the current logical table.
③Logical table fields	This section displays all fields of the logical table. You can select either all fields or an individual field to view the corresponding downstream objects. All fields: Displays all downstream objects associated with the logical table. Single field: Shows all downstream objects related to a specific field.
④Downstream objects list	The downstream objects list provides details of the downstream objects created for the logical table or field, along with the operations you can perform on them. View the logical table downstream objects list

After creating downstream objects for logical table fields, they appear in the downstream objects list. This list displays the object's name/code, type, referenced fields, data type/measurement unit, development status, and available operations.

Field	Description
Object name/code	Displays the name and code of the downstream object.
Object type	Indicates the type of the downstream object.
Referenced fields	Lists the logical table fields that the downstream object references.
Data type/measurement unit	Shows the data type and measurement unit for the downstream object.
Development status	Describes the development status of the downstream object.

Operations supported by the downstream objects list

The downstream objects list supports the following operations:

View object	Click to view the details of the selected object.
Edit object	Click to modify the selected object's configuration.
Clone	Click to duplicate the selected object.
Unpublish	Removes the selected objects from the online environment.
Unpublish and delete	Removes the selected objects from the online environment and deletes them.
