Dataphin:Add WeCom Group Chatbot Contact Information for Members

Dataphin members can receive system alerts and other notifications through WeCom group chatbots. This topic describes how to enable the WeCom chatbot channel and configure webhook addresses for members.

Permission Description

  • Metadata warehouse tenant super administrators and system administrators (instance level) can edit message channels.

  • Super administrators and system administrators (tenant level) can edit message channels and manage contact information for all members.

Procedure

Step 1: Enable the WeCom group chatbot message channel in tenant settings

  1. On the Dataphin home page, in the top menu bar, select Management Center > System Settings.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Tenant Settings > Message Channel.

  3. On the Message Channel Settings page, change Channel Settings to Tenant Custom and activate Wecom Robot under Basic Channel.

  4. After you configure the settings, select OK.

Step 2: Configure the WeCom group chatbot and obtain the webhook address

  1. Launch the PC version of WeCom and open the group where you wish to receive alert notifications.

  2. Click the More icon in the upper right corner and choose Add Group Chatbot.

  3. Select Create A New Chatbot, provide a name for the chatbot, and then select Add Chatbot.

  4. Upon successful addition, the chatbot's webhook address is displayed. Select Copy Address to copy it.

Step 3: Add WeCom group chatbot contact information for members

  1. Return to the Dataphin home page, in the top menu bar, select Management Center > Member Management.

  2. In the member list, select the Edit icon in the Actions column for the member you wish to configure.

  3. In the Edit Account dialog box, enter the WeCom group chatbot's webhook address in the Wecom Robot field.

  4. After entering the information, select OK. The member will then be able to receive notifications via the WeCom group chatbot.
