Dataphin:User group Permission Management

User group permissions let you authorize, renew, and revoke access for all group members at once. You can apply for, return, and renew permissions at the user group level.

Limits

Disabled user groups do not show permission details on this page. To enable a user group, see Manage User Groups.

User Group and Resource Permissions Description

User groups and resource permissions have a many-to-many relationship. A user group can hold multiple resource permissions, and a resource permission can be granted to multiple user groups.

User group permission details

  1. On the top menu bar of the Dataphin homepage, select Management Center > Permission Management.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, select Permission Management > User Group Permissions to access the User Group Permissions page.

  3. On the User Group Permissions page, you can perform a fuzzy search using user group name keywords, or filter user groups by Managed By Me or by selecting an administrator.

  4. The page displays the filtered user group names, user group descriptions, and administrator information.

  5. The following operations are available for a user group.

    View Permission Details

    Shows the detailed permissions of the user group. For more information, see Manage Table Permissions, Manage Data Source Permissions, Manage Function Permissions.

    View User Group Details

    Shows user group member information. For more information, see Add and Manage Members.

Manage table permissions

Description

Filter and Search Area

Search by table name, quickly filter tables Expiring In 7 Days, or click Filter to filter by business unit, project, data source, or table type.

Apply for Table Permissions

Click Apply For Table Permissions to request read, write, and other permissions for the table. For more information, see Apply, Renew, and Return Table Permissions.

List Area

Shows the table name, table type, business unit/project/data source, resource owner, permission type, authorization time, and expiration time.

Operation Area

View authorization details, return permissions, and renew permissions for tables.

  • View Table Authorization Details: Shows table-level and field-level permissions. For more information, see Table Permission Details.

  • Return: Returns all permissions (table and fields). In the Return Permissions dialog box, click OK.

  • Renewal: Extends the usage period for the table or fields. In the Renewal Permissions dialog box, select Valid Until, enter the Renewal Reason, and click OK.

    To customize renewal fields, perform the renewal on the table permission details page. For more details, see Table Permission Details.

Manage data source permissions

Search by data source name, quickly filter data sources Expiring In 7 Days, or click Filter to filter by data type and environment.

Apply for Data Source Permissions

Click Apply For Data Source Permissions to request read and write permissions for the data source. For more information, see Apply, Renew, and Return Data Source Permissions.

List Area

Shows the data source name, data source owner, permission type, environment, authorization time, and expiration time.

Operation Area

Allows return and renewal operations for data sources.

  • Return: Returns all permissions. In the Return Permissions dialog box, click OK.

  • Renewal: Extends the validity period for the data source. In the Renewal Permissions dialog box, select Valid Until, provide the Renewal Reason, and click OK.

Search by function name, quickly filter functions Expiring In 7 Days, or click Filter to filter by type and project.

Apply for Function Permissions

Click Apply For Function Permissions to request usage permissions for the function. For more information, see Apply, Renew, and Return Function Permissions.

List Area

Shows the function data object name, type, project, expiration date, and permission type.

Operation Area

Allows return and renewal operations for functions.

  • Return: Returns all permissions. In the Return Permissions dialog box, click OK.

  • Renewal: Extends the usage period for the function. In the Renewal Permissions dialog box, select Valid Until, enter the Renewal Reason, and click OK.
