Dataphin:Set the compute engine of a Dataphin instance to TDH or ArgoDB

Last Updated:Jan 21, 2025

Before initiating data development in a project space, it is essential to configure the compute engine for your Dataphin instance. Once configured, the system enables the addition of corresponding compute resources to the project space, thereby provisioning computational and storage capabilities. This topic guides you through configuring the Dataphin system's compute engine to use either TDH or ArgoDB.

Prerequisites

Ensure the system's metadata initialization is complete. For details, see Initialize the metadata warehouse using Transwarp TDH as the compute engine.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Compute Settings page by referring to Calculation settings entry.

  2. On the Compute Settings page, set the compute engine parameters as follows:

    Parameter

    Description

    NameNode

Allows the addition of multiple HDFS addresses within the same cluster. Metadata acquisition is completed successfully if at least one address is verified. For instance, host=192.xxx.xx.xxx,webUiPort=500xxx,ipcPort=80xx.

  3. Click Save to apply the changes.

What to do next

After the compute engine is set for the Dataphin instance, you can add the corresponding compute resources to the newly created project space, providing necessary compute and storage resources. For guidance on creating a project space and adding compute resources, see Create a general project.
