Dataphin:Set the compute engine of Dataphin to Lindorm (compute engine)

Last Updated:Jan 21, 2025

Before creating a project space for data development, it is necessary to configure the Dataphin instance's compute engine. Once configured, the system enables the addition of corresponding compute sources to the project space, thus providing essential computing and storage resources.

Prerequisites

System metadata initialization must be completed. For more information, see Initialize the metadata warehouse using Lindorm.

Note

To set the compute engine of Dataphin to Lindorm, the metadata warehouse must also be configured to use Lindorm.

Permission description

Setting the compute engine is restricted to users with Super Administrator or System Administrator roles.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Management Center from the Dataphin home page's top menu bar, and select System Settings.

  2. Select Lindorm (compute Engine) to access the Lindorm compute engine configuration page.

  3. On the Lindorm compute engine configuration page, set the necessary parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    JDBC URL

Input the JDBC URL for Lindorm connection. The format should be jdbc:hive2://host:port/;?token=.... For the connection address, refer to View connection address.

  4. Click Save to finalize the compute engine settings for the Dataphin instance to use Lindorm.

What to do next

Once the compute engine is configured for the Dataphin instance, the system enables the addition of corresponding compute resources to the newly created project space, thereby provisioning both computing and storage capabilities. For guidance on establishing a project space and incorporating compute resources, see Create a general project and .
