Before creating a project for data development, you must set a compute engine for your Dataphin instance. After setting a compute engine, the system lets you add the corresponding compute source to a project to provide computing and storage resources. This topic describes how to set SelectDB or Doris as the compute engine for a Dataphin instance.
Prerequisites
The system metadata must be initialized. For more information, see Initialize the metadata warehouse with SelectDB or Doris as the metadata warehouse engine.
Limits
When SelectDB is set as the metadata warehouse compute engine, only SelectDB is supported as the compute source engine. Other compute engines are not supported. Similarly, when Doris is set as the metadata warehouse compute engine, only Doris is supported as the compute source engine.
Procedure
In the top navigation bar of the Dataphin homepage, choose Management Hub > System Settings.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Tenant Settings > Compute Settings.
On the Compute Settings page, select SelectDB or Doris.
Click Save.
