Dataphin:Create and manage data standard sets

Last Updated:Nov 20, 2025

A data standard set is a collection of standards with similar or consistent business meanings. It functions as a specialized directory that, in addition to classification, defines viewing permissions and approval configurations for standards. As a best practice, map a single table or business entity, such as a customer, to one data standard set. Each standard type should correspond to a standard template, such as a basic standard or an indicator standard. This approach simplifies the definition of standard specifications and supports diverse management requirements. This topic describes how to create and manage data standard sets.

Permissions

  • Super administrators and data standard administrators can create and manage all data standard set directories and data standard sets.

  • Data standard set owners can manage the data standard sets for which they are responsible, including editing and deleting the sets.

Limits

  • The hierarchy of a data standard set directory cannot exceed 10 levels.

  • The total number of data standard set directories cannot exceed 1,000 across all levels.

  • A single tenant can create a maximum of 10,000 data standard sets.

Data standard set list

On the Standard Set page, you can view default and custom data standard sets. You can also edit, clone, or delete a data standard set, or create standards within it.

View the name and code of a data standard set directory. You can also create, edit, and delete directories.

    • Create: Create a data standard set directory. This includes specifying the parent directory, directory name, and directory code.

      • Parent Directory: Select a parent directory. If you do not select one, the new directory is created as a root-level directory.
